Murray County Medical Center in Slayton has been recognized as a top performing hospital in Quality and Patient Perspective by The Chartis Center of Rural Health and the National Organization of State Offices of Rural Health (NOSORH) through their Performance Leadership Award assessments.
The Performance Leadership Awards are based on results from the Hospital Strength INDEX, which is one of the most comprehensive and objective assessments of rural healthcare facilities in the industry.
According to Chartis, “these top performers are excelling in managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction, and operating at a lower cost than their peers”.
Maintaining high quality patient care has remained at the forefront of Murray County Medical Center’s vision despite hardships with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. “While our communities and facility have faced many challenges and uncertainty due to this public health crisis, our staff have shown true resilience in their roles and continue to work hard to provide top quality care every day for our patients” stated Luke Schryvers, CEO of Murray County Medical Center.
“Receiving these performance awards goes to show how dedicated the staff is in our facility to protecting public health and serving the community and that will only continue as we move forward as a facility” stated Schryvers.
NOSORH Performance Leadership Awards are announced annually by The Chartis Group each November.
